What a wonderful weekend! On Saturday, we had a fun day of relaxing at home and being silly. Kaitlyn didn't have any episodes! The medicines seem to make her more out of it though, which is concerning to us. We want her to be as happy as possible. It is much much harder to get her to smile but trust me, we do anything and everything to try and get it out of her. :-)

On Sunday, Kaitlyn was baptized by Pastor Keith Morrison in our home. It was exactly what we needed. In Texas, we did the Parent/Child Dedication with Kaitlyn but with everything we have been through this past year it was important to us to show this act of faith and trust in God. We put our trust in Him and trust that Kaitlyn is part of His plan.
"By God's mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope."
Ephesians 3:20

We also had a great Monday and spent time with family. Amazing Makayla also struck again! She got Kaitlyn to giggle!!!!! What a blessing. We haven't heard her giggle in weeks. THANK YOU Makayla! :-) You are awesome!

We really enjoyed the weekend and are so thankful for the time we have together. My perspective is completely different now, not just with Kaitlyn's diagnosis but having watched her life flash before my eyes at the hospital a few weeks ago.
An example of how my perspective has changed:
This weekend our SUV had engine issues and cut off while I was driving (with Cole in the car too), I then had to wait at the dealership with Cole for awhile until my mom could pick us up still not knowing what was wrong with the SUV and how much it would cost! Chip couldn't come get us cause he had to be with Kaitlyn at home. Then on Saturday after the baptism, I spent 3 hours at Urgent Care with Cole for a double ear infection. Poor guy. Wait there's more! The bulb in our TV blew out. No more TV or fun videos for the kids until the bulb arrives in a week. Normally all of these things happening would really put a damper on the weekend.
But you know what.... none of it changed my perspective. Our weekend was amazing!
