Sleep Lastnight and a Vigil Tonight!

Kaitlyn slept ALL night! Overall, I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not but at least she got good rest and wasn't in pain. She continues to amaze me. You just never know what is next with her!

Holding Kaitlyn yesterday (Monday)

I am so thankful for everyone's support and shares on Facebook. It is so awesome to go on there and see that the link to the blog was shared by over 80 of my friends! You are all amazing.

Cole LOVES Lily!

Tonight (Tuesday) our neighborhood is holding a candlelight vigil/gathering in front of our house for Kaitlyn. Everyone is welcome to come! It starts at 7pm (even though it will still be light out, that's okay). Bring a candle and an open heart. Our house is 6004 Farm Pond Road, Indian Trail, NC.

Thought this was pretty, from the other day      (nice job Chip!)

  2. I'm so glad you got to hold sweet Kaitlyn, what a beautiful picture - you can see the LOVE in your face. I pray she rests well tonight pain free. I'll have my candle lit here in RVA. God, please continue to watch over Kaitlyn and her family, and give her mom, dad and family members the strength and courage needed to continue on this journey. Sending love to you all.

  11. My family and I will light a candle for your little girl and your family here at our home in Monroe NC tonight.Wish we could be there but I myself have a special needs child and will not be able to be there, but we will be there in spirit. Your story is very inspiring. The saying you dont know how strong you are until being strong is the only option you have, is so true exspecially when it comes to your babies. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Deanna, you are her rock!! Maybe she slept so well because she knew you were holding strong! Or maybe it was the snuggle you guys had in the chair. Who knows. Children are very intuitive!! Pics are so cute. Love the one of Cole and the puppy too!!

  16. Tonight I will join you in the candle vigil and be with you in spirit. The picture of you holding your baby girl was awesome. I have never been married and have no children, but I have shared Caringbridge with 2 of my friend's children/grandchild. One is doing better, the other sadly died after 18 mths. of cancer treatments. I know we do not hold the timeline, but for the time that Kaitlyn has been allowed to be shared with you and everyone she touched, there was a reason. Now her timeline is beginning to close Jesus wants her home so he can make her well, so she can run, and jump, and learn how to skip rope. Think of all of the pain free, wild and fantastic time she will have. I pray that God will also give you and your family peace and comfort to help during each day, day by passing day, no matter what that day brings.
