Kaitlyn is still having difficulties with coughing and choking. We have been giving breathing treatments and morphine to help open her airways, which seem to help some. She is having a little bit of a struggle maintaining her oxygen saturation (how much oxygen is in her blood, this indicates how well she is breathing and circulating oxygenated blood). She had a few dips that lasted longer than normal so we increased her oxygen from 1.5 to 2 liters, which is the maximum level for a child on continuous oxygen of Kaitlyn's age/weight. If she needs a boost it's okay to increase it but for extended periods of time, 2 liters is really it.
I thought I would share some pictures from our day, including some of the equipment that we use regularly to help Kaitlyn.

Pulse/Ox, the number on the left is her O2 saturation and the number on the right is her pulse. And of course there has to be a princess too! |

This is how you keep a 1 year old little brother from turning Kaitlyn's oxygen concentrator off! |
